A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible
via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing
Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.
Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they
do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation.

Web development is a broad term for any activity to developing a web site for the World Wide Web or an internet. This can include e-commerce
business development, web design, web content development, client-side/server-side scripting, and web server configuration.
However, among web professionals, "web development" usually refers only to the non-design aspects of building web sites, e.g. writing markup and
coding. Web development can range from developing the simplest static single page of plain text to the most complex web-based internet applications,
electronic businesses, or social network services. For larger businesses and organizations, web development teams can consist of hundreds of people (web developers).
Smaller organizations may only require a single permanent or contracting webmaster, or secondary assignment to related job positions such as a
graphic designer and/or Information systems technician. Web development may be a collaborative effort between departments rather than the domain of a
designated department.

Online shopping is the process consumers go through to purchase products or services over the Internet. An online shop, eshop, e-store, internet
shop, webshop, webstore, online store, or virtual store evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a bricks-and-mortar retailer
or in a shopping mall.

Streaming media are multimedia that are constantly received by, and normally presented to, an end-user while being delivered by a streaming
provider (the term "presented" is used in this article in a general sense that includes audio or video playback). The name refers to the delivery
method of the medium rather than to the medium itself.
The distinction is usually applied to media that are distributed over telecommunications networks, as most other delivery systems are either inherently
streaming (e.g., radio, television) or inherently non-streaming (e.g., books, video cassettes, audio CDs). The verb 'to stream' is also derived from
this term, meaning to deliver media in this manner. Internet television is a commonly streamed media.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural"
or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically,
the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target
different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines.
This gives a web site web presence. As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing
a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove
barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.
The acronym "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on
behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part
of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into
web site development and design.
The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and
other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure. Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or Spamdexing,
use methods such as link farms, keyword stuffing and article spinning that degrade both the relevance of search results and the user-experience of
search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices.
